The Opportunities:
Wellpoint is seeking a General Practitioner for their Family and OIS clinic located at 16940 127 Street NW, Edmonton, Edmonton, AB to fill their growing patient demand.

In addition, this position has the opportunity to practice Occupational Medicine as the clinic is OIS certified and part of a national occupational health services organization.

Physician income is Fee-for-Service and Wellpoint Health offers competitive splits which increase in favour of the physician based on volume and negotiable signing bonuses. Wellpoint Health promotes a collegial, ‘turn-key’ atmosphere ideal for a self-motivated and caring professional clinician. All clinics are paperless using the TELUS Health EMR System (formerly Wolf)

The City

Qualifications:
Canadian or Permanent Residents already holding an Alberta medical license, CCFP Certified or CCFP Eligible, preferred. USA Board, UK, Irish, Australian certified GPs may be considered and are also encouraged to apply.

Medical Oncologists

This Cancer Agency is located in western Canada in a growing and prosperous province. They have excellent education opportunities for young and old and offer a rich cultural and recreational environment to suit families and independent living.

The Medical Oncologists provide care as members of teams which include nurses, pharmacists, radiation therapists, oncologists, surgeons, social workers, volunteers and palliative care staff. Cancer care is extended to surrounding communities through their community oncology program. Participation on clinical trials in collaboration with cooperative groups and industry is a major focus of activity for the oncologists.  They are members of cooperative clinical trial groups as Alliance, NCIC CTG, and NRG. Oncologists are also involved in teaching medical students and Residents.

The Agency is looking for 2 Medical Oncologists to join their team.  Preferred candidates will have obtained or in the process working towards Fellowship standing in Medical Oncology with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada or have an equivalent education, training and experience.  Oncologists are eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Oncology, College of Medicine at the local University. In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada. A competitive compensation package is offered and will be commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is $280,776 – $401,191 plus benefits. If you are not interested in a permanent position,  opportunities are available for Locum positions also.
